Family Reunions in Clinton, MO: Rooms, Parks & Planning Tips

Where to host, where to sleep, how to book a group block, and the parks that make Clinton a reunion town.

March 25, 2025By Westbridge Inn & Suites Team

A Clinton family reunion works because the town is set up for it — big enough to have real hotels, small enough that everyone can find you. Here's how we set it up.

The rooms

Westbridge has 32 rooms across six types, which gives a reunion planner flexibility:

  • Standard Queen for solo aunts and grandparents.
  • King Suite for couples.
  • Queen Double — two double beds — for cousins traveling together.
  • Three-Bedroom Family Suite — three full-size beds — for the family with kids and a grandparent under one roof.
  • Jacuzzi Suite for anyone using the reunion as an excuse for a getaway.
  • Accessible Queen for mobility needs — call to confirm the specific features you need.

Kids under 18 stay free in existing beds. This matters for cousins piled onto a family suite.

The group block

Call (660) 885-2206 and ask for a group block. We'll hold a set of rooms under a code (like "SMITH FAMILY REUNION") that anyone in your family can call and reference. That way individual family members book on their own credit card, but you don't have to worry about the hotel filling up between the invitations and the reunion date.

For 5+ rooms, this is the safest way to lock the weekend down. For 10+ rooms, we can often do more — call and ask.

The venues

Clinton itself has:

  • Artesian Park at 811 Marigold — playgrounds, a 50-meter pool with slides, tennis and basketball courts, disc golf, and an amphitheater built in 2002. Multiple picnic shelters and BBQ grills. This is Clinton's reunion park.
  • The historic downtown square — restaurants around the Henry County Courthouse: Square 109, 303 Jefferson, Ben Franklin Bistro, The Branding Iron.
  • Henry County Museum at 203–211 W. Franklin Street — an 1886 building with an indoor 1900s village and multiple historic structures. Open April through December — good for a rainy-day reunion activity.

Suggested schedule

  • Friday: family arrives, dinner on the square, check in at Westbridge.
  • Saturday: reunion day at Artesian Park with the pavilion, kids in the pool, older folks in the shade. Dinner back on the square or catered.
  • Sunday: free hot breakfast at Westbridge, check out 11 AM, everyone home by dinner.

Practical tips

  • Book the block early — 6+ months out for summer weekends.
  • Assign a family point person to communicate with the front desk.
  • Print directions to the park and the hotel — not every relative uses GPS reliably.
  • Consider Olde Glory Days weekend (early July) if you want a built-in festival — but book very early.
