Harry S. Truman Lake & Truman Dam

55,600-acre reservoir at the confluence of the Osage, South Grand and Pomme de Terre rivers. Known nationally for crappie fishing.

Truman Lake is one of the largest reservoirs in Missouri and a top-tier crappie fishery. The dam and visitor center sit at Warsaw, about 29 miles south of the hotel. From Clinton you'll reach the Grand River arm ramps first — Sparrowfoot, Long Shoal, and Bucksaw are the closest to us.

Katy Trail State Park — Western Terminus

The 240-mile Katy Trail State Park begins (or ends) right here in Clinton. The trailhead is on N Price Lane, ~2 miles from our front desk.

Clinton is the western terminus of the Katy Trail — the longest developed rail-trail in the United States. The trailhead is located off Highway 52, approximately 0.1 miles west of the Highway 7/13 intersection, along N Price Lane. Equestrian parking is at the Henry County Fairgrounds across Price Lane.

Rock Island Trail — Windsor Junction

The developed 47.5-mile Rock Island Trail runs from Pleasant Hill to Windsor, where it meets the Katy Trail — 19 miles from Clinton.

The Rock Island Trail State Park's developed section runs from Pleasant Hill east to Windsor, where it joins the Katy Trail. A separate 144-mile eastern segment (Windsor to Beaufort) is state-owned but undeveloped and closed to the public. Windsor's shared trailhead is a fantastic starting or turnaround point.

Historic Downtown Square & Henry County Courthouse

One of the largest courthouse squares in Missouri, ringed by locally-owned restaurants, antique shops, and coffee.

The Clinton square is a full block of historic brick storefronts around the Henry County Courthouse — antiques, coffee, and independent restaurants. It's the town's living room. Under the Leisure & Recreation District you can walk the square with a drink from any participating establishment.

Henry County Museum & Cultural Arts Center

Multi-building museum complex in the 1886 Anheuser-Busch distribution center, with an indoor 1900s village recreation.

Located at 203–211 W. Franklin Street in Clinton, the museum complex includes the historic 1886 Anheuser-Busch distribution building, the Adair Annex (indoor 1900s village), a c.1850 dogtrot log house, an 1887 one-room schoolhouse, and the c.1852 Dorman House. Open April through December.

Artesian Park

Clinton's community park — outdoor 50m pool, disc golf, playgrounds, amphitheater and the 1887 artesian spring.

Artesian Park at 811 Marigold in Clinton has a full aquatic center (50-meter pool, drop slides, kiddie pool, spray park), tennis and basketball courts, disc golf, an amphitheater built in 2002, and picnic shelters. The pool runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Olde Glory Days Festival (July 1–5)

Clinton's five-day Independence Day festival centered on the Historic Downtown Square — carnival, live music, parade, fireworks.

Olde Glory Days runs five days around July 4th on the Clinton square: carnival rides, Ike Parker Art Show, quilt show, FireQuacker 500 duck race, David Mills Grand Parade, live music on the Main Stage, and a mega fireworks display set to music on KDKD 95.3 FM. Book Westbridge early — this is our busiest week.
